(My most recent treasure being at the morning Eucharist when we were interviewing for the community missioner post in High Wycombe and I misread the text of Isaiah about SIN as “Your SKINS are as scarlet but they shall be white than snow”- my skin went DECIDEDLY scarlet! )
This discussion about putting your liturgical foot in it led us to pondering what might happen if Bridget Jones were to be ordained.

I can't remember what I was reading at St Nix but i stumbled over the sentace about speaking clearly. Unfortunatly I was wearing a bright pink shirt and turned the same colour!!
And I did a reading at St Andrews in Plymouth recently and couldn't say 'ecclesiastes'. i just looked at the word and couldn't for the life of me work out what was going on! I got as far as 'the reading this evening is taken from...' and five seconds later had to turn around to the curate for a prompt! oops!
