Picked up from Neil's wiblog this fantastically quirky fact. Google maps give you the directions to SWIM ACROSS THE ATLANTIC if you try to get directions from somewhere in UK to America. Bizarrley it gets you to trael to FRANCE first!. Check it out!

The longest route possible through the Le Havre/Boston link that this uses is apparently this one at just over 15,000 miles.

that's brilliant. I can't work out how long the swim is anticipated to be, though the entire journey from my house to new york takes over 29 days
